Flufenoxuron is considered as Persistent, Bioaccumulative and Toxic (PBT) and as very Persistent and very Bioaccumulative (vPvB).It presents risks for human health and for the aquatic and terrestrial compartments and will therefore be banned from 1 February 2013./p>
Dichlorvos and Naled displayed an unacceptable human health and environmental risk and will not be included in Annexes I, IA or IB to Directive 98/8/EC. These will be banned from the 1 May 2013./p>
Also, twelve new biocide substances saw their status changed to be included in Annexes I, IA and IB and placed on the market. These substances include copper hydroxide, fipronil, deltamethrin, methyl nonyl ketone and margosa./p>
