Which substances were added to the Candidate List?
ECHA added on 16th January 4 new substances to the Candidate List of substances for authorisation. 3 of these substances were added because of their toxicity for reproduction and the last one because of a combination of properties of concern.
The added substances and the reasons for their inclusion are as follows:

The Candidate List
The Candidate List of substances for authorisation is a list updated every six months by ECHA which catalogues substances of very high concern. With the addition of the 4 last ones, the number of these substances is now of 205.
Some substances of the Candidate List, SVHCs - Substances of Very High Concern - will eventually be added to Annex XIV, and companies would then need to apply for an authorisation in order to keep on using them after their sunset date.
