- First aid measures
- Fire-fighting measures
- Accidental release measures
- Handling and storage
- Exposure controls/personal protection
- Physical and chemical properties
- Stability and reactivity
- Toxicological information
- Ecological information
- Disposal considerations

SDS specific requirements
- An SDS is mandatory when the substance or mixture is hazardous (under CLP, DSD and DPD) or assessed PBT, vPvB or SVHC (under REACH).
- It contains the supplier’s email.
- It is drafted in the languages of the export countries and of those that use the substance.
- When the substance is registered (REACH), the safety data sheet then lists the registration number and uses covered
NB : When a substance >10 t/year is register under REACH, RSC exposure scenarios (Report on Chemical Safety) are added to the Annexes. Then we obtained an extended SDS called "e-SDS".
